Dr. Marie-Elena Dragonetti joined Garden City Primary in 2016 but is no stranger to NYU Winthrop Hospital. Dr. Dragonetti completed her residency and fellowship at Winthrop from 1995-2000 after graduating from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa in 1994.

Dr. Dragonetti earned two Bachelor of Science degrees from New York University in psychology and philosophy, and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Ethics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

With a philosophy on developing a partnership with her patients, Dr. Dragonetti’s focus is on ensuring that her patients are well-educated about their healthcare and understand why and how their bodies react to treatment. In the age of high-tech medical care, her focus remains on the humanity of treating her patients combined with the highest quality care.

Originally from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Dr. Dragonetti is an accomplished guitarist and has played in rock bands since the age of 10.
